Whoa.... I gotta tell you. When Mainers can't get their camping reservation sites, they freak out and turn extremely rude. When I tried to explain to one lady that if (that's IF) she lived in the Augusta area, she could come into the office. (Most people were unaware of that), she replied with "Not everyone in Maine lives in Augusta, you know!!" I politely informed her I was well aware of it. And I didn't even rub it in that I had already gotten my camping site.

joe_tofu: maine-iacs abroad?

Hi, I hope you don't consider this Spam. I'm a Maine-iac (or Mainer, if you must) in China (not China, Maine) with a little brother in Africa and cousins spreading out around the country, so I made up a website for Maine people living outside of Maine (but Maine-born Maine-iacs in Maine are also welcome), and I wanted to encourage, or rather beg for, people to sign up, because we all know a network site won't really get going until a bunch of people are already on it. Well, check it out: www.maine-iac.net, and contribute something if you like. Thanks!
